I started taking guitar lessons from various teachers when I was fourteen years old, and went on to study music theory and appreciation.

I have been teaching guitar, electric bass, and ukulele for 18 years at Raritan Music Center. I have studied all styles of music - rock, country, rhythm and blues, jazz, fusion, punk, metal, and classical. I consider myself a multi-stylist as a player, and this inspires me to teach my students multiple styles of guitar and stringed instruments. I teach both acoustic and electric guitar, finger picking, classical finger picking, slide guitar - all very different styles!

I find it personally very satisfying and i enjoy instructing students and seeing the progress of students over time and seeing the understanding and appreciation of music grow.

I was in several bands when I was younger, and I enjoy playing rhythm and blues, reggae/tropical rock, the classics, and the classic rock repertoire. My favorite musical artists include The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bach, and Vivaldi.
